Batu Bara Regent Baharuddin Siagian Encourages Scout Contingent at the 11th North Sumatra Regional Scout Jamboree

BATU BARA, SDICTV.ID – Batu Bara Regent Dr. H. Baharuddin Siagian, S.H., M.Si., C.L.A., visited the Batu Bara Regency Scout Branch (Kwartir Cabang/Kwarcab) contingent participating in the 11th North Sumatra Regional Scout Jamboree (Jambore Daerah XI) at the Sibolangit Campsite, on Friday (July 10, 2026).

Accompanying the Regent were Head of the Social Affairs, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office Mulyadi, PKB Chairman Mustafa Kamal Ratta, Head of Government Administration Yasser Abdillah, Head of General Affairs Hardiman Sihombing, Head of the Protocol and Leadership Communication Division Widaruna, President Director of the Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) Mukhrizal Arif, and BUMD Business Manager Affan Aulia Saragih.

The Regent received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from members of the Batu Bara Scout contingent. During the visit, he interacted directly with the participants to check on their health, assess their readiness, and provide moral support throughout the Regional Jamboree.

Regent Baharuddin Siagian reaffirmed the Batu Bara Regency Government's commitment to youth development through the Scout Movement, emphasizing its role in building character, leadership, discipline, and national values among young people.

He described the Regional Jamboree as an important opportunity for participants to broaden their knowledge, strengthen friendships with fellow scouts from across North Sumatra, and introduce the cultural and development potential of Batu Bara Regency to participants from other regencies and cities.

"This Regional Jamboree is more than just a camping event. It is an opportunity to build friendships, gain valuable experience, and promote the potential of our villages, districts, and Batu Bara Regency. Stay motivated, maintain your health, and participate in every activity with discipline and responsibility," Regent Baharuddin said.

He also expressed hope that the Batu Bara contingent would continue to uphold the good reputation of the regency while achieving outstanding results throughout the 11th North Sumatra Regional Scout Jamboree.

Under the leadership of Contingent Leader Nining Marlina Lubis, the Batu Bara contingent achieved several notable accomplishments, including Fourth Place in the Mobile Legends E-Sports Competition, a nomination for Best Cultural Performance through the presentation of the traditional Gobuk Dance during the Campfire Night, and selection as members of the Campfire Ceremony Team in the Dasa Dharma Officers category.

In addition to these achievements, the contingent also received recognition from the organizing committee for its distinctive uniform design and attractive color combination. The Batu Bara contingent's uniform was specifically highlighted on the event's main stage as one of the most eye-catching uniforms among participants at the 11th North Sumatra Regional Scout Jamboree.

The Regent's visit reflected the Batu Bara Regency Government's strong commitment to supporting young people in achieving excellence, strengthening their character, and bringing pride to the regency at both the provincial and national levels.
